STANDARD SEAL DIMENSIONS

DESCRIPTION

The MA8 seal type has been conceived to work on the piston and it can be used for simple or double effect. Its has asymmetrical lips which ensure a continuous contact with the bore, even in case of high misalignments. The installation is done in semi-open groove by overlapping, since the material has a high modulus of elasticity.

Pressure: < 400 bar at a temperature of 60° C
Speed: < 0.5 m/s
Temperature: from – 35° C to + 100° C, with peaks till 110° C
Fluids: mineral-based oils and fuels

MATERIAL

The material used is polyurethane with a high modulus of elasticity, low compression set and high wear resistance. Its hardness is 93 Shore A ± 2.

ASSEMBLING

Remove any flash or cutting edges on the piston where the seal is housed. Provide a lead-in chamfer in the bore to have an easier piston insertion. Lubricate the packing before installation.
